Overview

Alicia (Hsing-I) Hsu is a Senior Partner at Dentons Taiwan, renowned for her expertise in corporate law. With over 15 years of experience, she has become a leading figure in advising companies at every stage of development—from dynamic startups to established businesses seeking capital markets financing. Alicia is known for providing comprehensive, practical solutions to complex legal challenges.


Her extensive expertise covers a wide range of industries, including fintech, information technology, software, life sciences, cryptocurrency, and energy. With a deep understanding of accounting and taxation, Alicia offers clients tailored business solutions that meet their specific needs. Whether guiding entrepreneurs through the intricacies of launching a new venture or helping established enterprises navigate cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance, her proactive, solution-oriented approach has earned her widespread trust and respect among business leaders in Taiwan.


In addition to her corporate legal work, Alicia is highly skilled in personal and family wealth planning, including cross-border inheritance matters. Her experience in assisting business owners has equipped her with the knowledge to be a trusted advisor in these areas.


Alicia's impact extends beyond the legal sphere. She is a passionate advocate for women's rights in Taiwan, serving as a director of the Taipei Women’s Rescue Foundation and a council member of the Taipei City Government Labor Affairs Bureau's Gender Equality Committee. In these roles, she has spearheaded initiatives to empower women and promote diversity and inclusion.


She is also the author of a top-selling book "The Hardships You Shouldn’t Suffer for Starting a Business," which is regarded as one of the best introductory guides to domestic business law in Taiwan.


Alicia holds an EMBA from the National Taiwan University College of Management, an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, an M.A. in International Relations from the National Taiwan University Graduate Institute of Political Science, and a double bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics from National Taiwan University.


She passed the Taiwan Bar exam in 2003 and was admitted to the Taiwan Bar in 2005. Alicia was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2008 and served as a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2014. Alicia also holds a patent agent license in Taiwan.
